IKEJA VIVA L’AMOUR LIONS CLUB ACTIVITY FOR JANUARY 2024, RELIEVING HUNGER FOR FAMILIES
Venue – 4 Jimoh Balogun Street, Isheri Magodo town hall. Magodo phase 1
Time: 10 AM
Date-11th January 2024

This activity is to help families eat good food as most families can hardly afford to feed considering the situation of things in the country during this period.
This is also to enable them to have the necessary nutrients to support their physical and mental well-being and address the families’ immediate needs. This, in turn, reduces the prevalence of malnutrition-related diseases and enhances overall health outcomes.
Viva L’Amour deemed it necessary to support families in this category by providing food items for over 50 families.
The families were invited from different parts of Lagos, such as Isheri, Olowora, Magodo village, Ketu, Agege, Allen, Mowe, Ikeja, etc.
Food distributed is Rice, Beans, Garri, Vegetable oil, Tomato paste, Salt, Maggi, and Sachet curry.
The activity started at exactly 10.27a.m with a Call to Order by Lion Schola Onyeyiri, followed by the National Anthem.
Thereafter Lion Esther Ijomoni, the activity chairperson for the program welcomed all the beneficiaries and members of the Ikeja Viva L’Amour Lions Club members present.
Lion Schola Onyeyiri MJF, NLCF who acted in the capacity of our President Lion Ngozi Nkoloenyi, who was unavoidably absent, did the introduction of Viva L’Amour Lion club members and what the Lions Club International represents. She also addressed the crowd to further enlighten them about the club in particular and Lions Club International at large.
The Beneficiaries were elated considering the quantity of items that each got and were filled with great joy. They prayed and applauded Ikeja Viva L’Amour for their generosity at this hard time. Mrs. Charity Arewa and Mr. Fatai Makinde spoke on behalf of the women and men respectfully to appreciate the club on behalf of the beneficiaries.
Charity Arewa, prayed that God continues to provide for the club members, both individually and collectively and Fatai Makinde also recounted that the foodstuffs couldn’t have come at a better time when hunger had been ravaging people in the country and prayed for God to empower the club to do more.
